We are a brother and sister duo born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and raised in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada. We've been singing and playing music together for many years. Our performances include a combination of contemporary country music mixed with some classic country, old rock 'n roll, and original material.
From the time we were very young, music was constant in our family. We grew up listening to both country music and old rock and roll and started singing around the campfire as soon as we were able to talk. For years our Mom & Dad played in a small band and eventually they gave us a chance to enhance our musical talents.
As each of us grew older, music took a back seat to friends, school and a very heavy involvement in sports. Both of us found many successes in both academics and athletics. Eventually, we started a family band (Dad, Mom, our cousin Dallas, and us) and played various weekends throughout the years entertaining for parties, weddings and anniversaries. During that time we also began entering into singing competitions around the Edmonton area. For quite a while we competed against each other, finding that we would end up knocking each other out by the end of the competition. We finally decided to start performing as a duet and we began having more and more success. "Who'd have thought two voices were better than one!"
Since then, we have had some amazing opportunities to perform in a wide variety of venues ranging from breakfast meetings and Klondike Days (Capital Ex) to opening for The Good Brothers and for Kenny Hess. In 2001 we won the Global Country Vocal Spotlight that takes place each year during the CFR (Canadian Finals Rodeo). In 2003, 2004 and 2005 we were part of the first, second and third Global Country Rising Star Tours of Alberta. We have now graduated from the program and are Rising Star Alumni Artists. This special tour gives all of the Rising Stars a chance to perform at many different venues throughout Alberta. Watch for the show to come to your area!
To date, some of the highlights of our singing career have been singing at Rexall Place during the 2001 CFR (Canadian Finals Rodeo), attending the CRS (Country Radio Seminar) in Nashville, TN in 2002, attending the CCMA Awards (2003, 2004), working together on our first (6 song) album "You Can't Erase Me" (2004), and our second (5 song) album "You Won't Be Lonely Long." We've also had the honor of being part of the Festival of Stars Concert held each year at Edmonton's Winspear Center.
In our opinion, it is a rare and special thing to perform as a brother & sister act. Our relationship with our parents has always been strong and because of that, we have a strong and unique relationship with each other. We feel that we are truly blessed to do what we do and we are honored to be able to share our music.
